Virgin Las Vegas partners with William Hill for sports wagering operations

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas has reached an agreement for William Hill Nevada, a Caesars Digital brand, to manage its sportsbook operations later this year, pending approvals from the Nevada Gaming Control Board and the Nevada Gaming Commission. The transition will include in-person wagering, expanded kiosk access, and mobile betting through the William Hill Nevada app. Dan Shapiro, senior vice president and chief development officer for William Hill, said, “We are grateful to partner with Virgin Hotels Las Vegas and launch a William Hill Sportsbook at the property. Our sports betting product offering in Nevada stands apart and will help attract new guests to the property as we work closely with the Virgin team. For the first time, Virgin Hotels Las Vegas guests will be able to sign up for mobile sports betting via the William Hill Nevada app and make cash transactions on-site, delivering a seamless experience.” The partnership will introduce an expanded sports wagering menu and significantly increase the number of betting kiosks available 24/7. Once the new sportsbook opens, guests will have access to a wider range of betting options, including prop bets, Same Game Parlays, Super Parlays, and live Cash Out. The William Hill app will also offer livestreaming of marquee events, including NFL games. William Hill, which has been part of Caesars Entertainment since 2021, is the largest sportsbook operator in Nevada and an official betting partner of the NFL, NHL, Las Vegas Raiders, and Vegas Golden Knights. For the current football season, the operator introduced its most extensive wagering menus to date, with two to three times more market options than previous years, the weekly Pro Pick’em Football Contest, and a $50,000 NFL Progressive Parlay Card. Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, part of Hilton’s Curio Collection, operates a 60,000-square-foot casino and sportsbook within its 1,500-room property. Earlier this year, the property launched Cherry Rewards, a loyalty program allowing members to earn and redeem points across various resort amenities. This agreement follows Virgin’s operational shift in 2024 when the property ended its management partnership with Mohegan Gaming. The casino is now operated by an entity formed by its top executives, who received state regulatory approval to take over management. “William Hill is the right strategic partner for us given its track record of providing an unmatched retail and mobile sports betting experience in Nevada,” said Cliff Atkinson, president of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. “This transition allows us to redefine our sportsbook and align it more closely with the dynamic energy and innovation synonymous with our resort.” While no exact timeline has been provided for the operational handover, both companies confirmed the sportsbook will open later this year, in time to leverage increased betting activity during the football season.
